Friday June 4th, 2021. Washington D.C. The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) and the Melher Foundation (FUNDAMELHR) signed a letter of intent where they agree to work together for the empowerment of youth entrepreneurship in the region, reinforcing the commitment of both entities with the social, economic and environmental development of El Salvador.
Mrs. Yadira Pinilla, Chair of the YABT Board of Directors, and Mr. Marvin Melgar, President of FUNDAMELHER, signed the agreement yesterday, giving way to the possibility of establishing the TIC El Salvador, a special category in the Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas (TIC Americas), that would serve as a source for technical and economic tools for young Salvadorian entrepreneurs with innovative projects.
Other agreements include the commitment to promote youth participation in the agricultural sector, as well as fostering initiatives aimed at developing human potential, productivity, alleviating poverty, preventing violence and promoting the coexistence of people in safe public spaces, through the support of young and innovative Salvadorian entrepreneurs.
This agreement positions YABT and FUNDAMELHER in an ideal situation to promote economic, social and cultural development of young people in Central America, especially in the context of COVID-19 recovery.
This alliance also positions and highlights FUNDAMELHER’s role as an entity of cultural, social and economic change, while facilitating the search for financial resources, as well as technical assistance, that will make the desired projects, activities and programs a reality.
FUNDAMELHER is an apolitical, non-profit, or religious entity established in El Salvador, with the purpose of developing and promoting human development models that seek to positively motivate the identity of young adolescents through actions that strengthen their self-esteem, identity and self-sufficiency.
